How It All Started

Terrance Butler is a lifelong resident of Myrtle Beach, a dedicated community leader, small business owner, and youth advocate committed to building a stronger, more inclusive city for all. With over a decade of leadership experience in public service, education, and program development, Terrance is running for Myrtle Beach City Council to champion equity, opportunity, and sustainable growth.

A proud graduate of Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Terrance is also a member of Leadership Grand Strand Class of 2022. His life’s work reflects a passion for service—especially uplifting underserved youth and families throughout the Grand Strand region.

In 2012, he founded ESA Fitness, a leading training program that has helped dozens of student-athletes earn college scholarships and prepare for opportunities at the professional level, including the NFL Combine and Pro Day. ESA also offers wellness and personal training programs for adults seeking to reach their health goals.

Recognizing the broader needs of the community, Terrance co-founded the ESA Dream Foundation, which raises scholarship funds for underserved athletes and artists through local events and fundraisers. His commitment to youth mentorship and community empowerment has directly impacted countless lives.

Terrance’s professional background includes work with Horry County Schools, Presbyterian College, and the Leadership Grand Strand program. Through these roles, he has developed and led initiatives in education, youth development, event marketing, and public engagement. He currently serves on the Community Advisory Council for Partnership Grand Strand, and has led numerous service efforts—school supply drives, holiday toy and food giveaways, sneaker donations for underserved families, and motivational speaking engagements across the region.
